Las Vegas Homes for Sale Las Vegas Real Estate
The health and well-being of our members, our staff and the public are the top priority for all of us at Las Vegas REALTORS®.
As a result, and in response to the recent worldwide spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the staff and Board of Directors of Las Vegas REALTORS® have been taking unprecedented precautions and have been continually monitoring this rapidly evolving situation. Both the state of Nevada and the U.S. government have now declared this to be a state and national emergency.
Out of an abundance of caution, LVR will be suspending all Association events, classes and meetings in and outside of our headquarters building at 6360 S. Rainbow Blvd. until at least April 30.
As an additional precaution, starting March 19 and continuing until at least April 30, the LVR building will be closed to all visitors, including Association members and members of the public. During this time, our dedicated staff will continue to work in the LVR building as usual and will be available during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to interact via phone and email with our members.
As of March 13, the state of Nevada and its Real Estate Division have agreed to give Nevada real estate licensees needing to renew their licenses between March 15 and May 31, 2020 a 90-day extension to complete the live instruction portion of their continuing education requirements. Likewise, first-time Nevada real estate licensees completing their post-licensing education requirements with upcoming renewals between March 15 and May 31, 2020 will also be granted a 90-day extension. Licensees are still required to renew their licenses by submitting a completed renewal form and paying their renewal fees with the Real Estate Division on or before their regular renewal date.
Meanwhile, we will continue tracking and following the latest guidelines and recommendations of public health authorities, including the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) and others.
We are committed to doing everything in our power to minimize health risks for everyone involved with our association. This includes enhanced cleaning programs using the best available and recommended disinfectant products to clean all areas of our building on a daily and nightly basis.
Since this situation is changing rapidly, please contact the Association at (702) 784-5000 with any questions you may have or visit this website for the latest information.
We will keep our members informed of additional changes and developments.
LVR Cancellation Policy
Due to COVID-19 considerations, we are canceling and refunding payments for everyone who has registered for an LVR class or event from March 17 to April 30. If you paid by cash or check, a refund check will be mailed to you 7-14 days after the cancelation. Or if you would prefer to use those funds to pay your MLS dues, call our education department at (702) 784-5051 and our staff will let our accounting department know to use the funds for your MLS dues.
What else we’re doing, and what you should do, too:
As always, we have hand-sanitizing products at all our office locations and are disinfecting equipment, desks, elevator buttons, coffee stations, etc. on a regular basis.
Preventative measures to reduce risk
- Stay home if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or any other cold or flu-like symptoms. If you arrive at one of our programs and are sick, you may be asked to leave in consideration of your fellow students.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects, including handheld devices, and surfaces.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or cough or sneeze into your sleeve.
